Sometimes as a photographer you get some last minute requests. So you need to be always prepared.
Meanwhile on a Photo Shooting abroad, my client unexpectedly asked me if I could photograph diamonds for an important corporate event.
Its more difficult than what you think as normally this kind of shootings are better done with controlled light in a studio. and on a tropical Island…go find it.
In case you have such a request one day, here are a few tips for a good jewelry photography :
- Choose the available light
- Pick up a good location
- Choose your most sharp lens
- Adjust carefully your exposure,
- Finally, in case you’ve got to photograph gemstones, try to create sparkles with a reflector.
This is one of the photo of the batch.
My client was happy with them, so, so am I.
